Easy and Fun
Social Media Plan
Checklists
This is easy and simple to implement
This truly is easy-peasy. All you have to do is fill out your preferred dates/days of the week for posting and what and where you’ll be posting on these days. If you pay for a service that takes care of this for you, no worries. But if you’re like me and you still do everything manually, this is a very handy guide which will help you keep track of everything.
You can print out your Social Media Plan from the sample at the end of this document. If you were to print out 12 pages, you can plan for a yearly Social Media Calendar. This Calendar is meant for ordinary use. For book launches I use the Easy and Fun Book Marketing Event Calendar which is part of the content in The Holy Grail of Book Launching. You can download your free template from here.
Any post on my WP blog gets automatically posted to my Facebook page, alerting all my friends to a new post. My article also gets posted to my Twitter followers, Linked-In connections and Google+ circles. Wow, all with one click of the mouse for FREE.
Why these 5 platforms? Because they have the largest followings and exposure. You can add or subtract to suit your own purposes.
One click of your mouse posts to 7 accounts
In addition, you can add your blog url to your Goodreads account as well as link up your blog in Amazon Author Central. This will give you two additional media accounts with a large exposure displaying your blog content to their audiences.
- Write a post on WordPress and automatically post to
- Google+
- Good reads (when linked up)
- Amazon (when linked up)
That is maximum Social Media exposure for FREE with one click of your mouse. All you need to do is write your blog post or decide what content you want to share from friends and partners.
As you can see I have 3 main areas of interest such as Health, Writing and Scripture and aim to do a post on any of these three times a week. The rest of the days I intend to share good content from friends and reputable bloggers.
This is a guide. Not a must. So far I have only posted about once a week. Michael Hyatt says that his ‘sweet spot’ is to post around three times a week. The last thing you want to do is bombard your audience with content they are not interested in.
I started my blog with the sole intent to bundle all of my blogposts together and have it morph into my planned Live Forever How-to book. Meanwhile I’ve gotten a little side tracked. I published a few other books first and right now I am launching The Holy Grail of Book Launching.
Not to worry. Every book is in a small way, my ‘Live Forever How-to’ as far as I’m concerned. I Recently purchased software that will help turn my blogposts into books. I’ll keep you posted on that.
